PetVet365: Fear-Free Experience for Pets and Their Owners

PetVet365 has opened its eighth location in Pennsylvania at the Terminal Building in the Strip District. One of the unique qualities of this veterinarian practice is that it is owned by the veterinarians who practice there. The stress-free environment that has been created for both owner and pet is a welcome and differentiating cornerstone of the practice. When your pet arrives, you are escorted into your own living-room space, which is inviting and calming. Their exam rooms are designed to feel like home, with no exam tables. Every pet is given one-on-one attention, customized care, and tons of love.

Dr. Megan Garrison and Dr. Emily Morse are the owner/veterinarians of this practice. Both are from Pittsburgh and share a love for all things pets. Their philosophy is “Happy Pets are Healthy Pets.”

PetVet365 is now taking new clients and offers same-day appointments. In addition to well visits, services include urgent care, exotic animal care, and laser therapy. They offer care seven days a week, 365 days a year.

Steel City Salt Co.

Steel City Salt Back in the Strip

John Tarallo of Steel City Salt Co. is excited to be back selling in his Strip District location in front of Mon Aimee Chocolat Saturdays and Sundays from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (weather permitting). He will have his salts, of course, and many other products that he sells in his Millvale store such as gift sets, t-shirts, soaps, and more. He adds: “We have a few new or special products. One is our Smoked Peppered Blend—it’s really, really good. Our Pierogi Salt is still very much in demand. And, we are bringing back our popular Watermelon Sugar, which people like to use to rim Margaritas, Mojitos, lemonade, ice tea, and more.”

If you aren’t sure how you would utilize a specific salt or sugar there are many recipes listed on their website to give you some ideas. If you can’t make it to their Strip location or to their store in Millvale, you can visit Steel City Salt at the Greensburg Night Markets. “We will be attending all these markets on Main Street in Greensburg, which are held the last Thursday of every month, year round, from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m.,” says John. “We will also be participating in Millvale Summer Market Day on July 26. There will be hundreds of vendors and we will have specials at our store in Millvale.”

3 Rivers Arts Festival

The Strip District Welcomes the 2025 Three Rivers Arts Festival

This year’s Three Rivers Arts Festival takes place from June 5 through 8, 2025, at the 15th Street Plaza along Waterfront Place in the Strip. The four-day festival offers free art and music, in expectation of its usual impressive attendance and artist participation. Due to Downtown construction for an Eighth Street Block Civic Space to host festivals and performances in the Cultural District for 2026 and beyond, the 2025 event has a temporary home in Pittsburgh’s Strip District.

The Dollar Bank Three Rivers Arts Festival and Pittsburgh Cultural Trust recently revealed the lineup of musicians and artists who will participate—including the Preservation Hall Jazz Band, Suzanne Vega, Teira Kennedy, and Lisa Loeb. The popular artist’s market will feature roughly 200 local and national artists.
