    The Artist: Judith Lauso

    Judith Lauso

    As a native of Pittsburgh, Judith Lauso has worked as a freelance illustrator/artist for 30 years doing children’s portraits, small murals, sports-figure portraits, and nature and architectural renderings. She holds art degrees from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh and the University of Pittsburgh.

    Judith has concentrated on illustrating five published children’s books, on commissioned portraits, and on gallery print work. She has worked in watercolors, acrylics, oils, pen/ink, and pastels.


    Judith has worked with the Community College of Allegheny County, the Bethel Park Schoolhouse, the Carnegie Museum of Art children’s studio, the Make-a-Wish Foundation, the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust, and the Senator John Heinz History Center. For ten years she taught art concepts appropriate for individual projects within the classroom/workshop environment.
