    The Artist: Christopher Boring

    Christopher Boring

Christopher Boring is a current resident of Verona and previously resided in Bloomfield and East Liberty. He earned his bachelor’s degree in fine arts from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania in 2012 with a concentration in drawing and painting. He is the studio director at Radiant Hall in the Pittsburgh neighborhood of Homewood.

While Boring’s work depicts images of rocks, woods, and sidewalks, his body of work explores the memories buried within mundane objects, places he walks, and moments in time, often concentrating on cityscape images of Pittsburgh, such as those in this section. His work has been shown throughout the region, including solo and group shows at: Erie Art Museum, Academy Center of the Arts, Brew House Association, Monongalia Arts Center, Sweetwater Center for the Arts, Three Rivers Art Festival, and ZYNKA Gallery. He recently won a juror’s award at the 56th Annual Pittsburgh Society of Artists Exhibition.
